echo.Book a scoping call

Questions we get asked

Short answers to what comes up before a first call. If your question is not here, email hello@echosocialstrat.com, or book a scoping call and ask it there.

Websites

What do you actually build

Websites, front to back. The design and the front end people see, and the back end that does the work: booking, payments, client logins, forms, integrations, and the admin screen you run it from. Full detail is on the website design and development page.

Can you add booking to my site

Yes. A real scheduling flow on your own site, connected to your calendar, with confirmation and reminder email handled. If you already use a booking tool you are happy with, we connect that rather than replace it.

Can you take payments on my site

Yes, through a payment provider, so the visitor pays without leaving your site. One time payments, deposits taken at the point of booking, and recurring billing where the business needs it. Card details stay with the payment provider.

Can you build a client login

Yes. An account area behind a password where a customer sees their bookings, invoices or files. We build the sign in, the account pages, and the admin side you use to manage the accounts.

Can you rebuild or move my existing site

Yes. A rebuild is usually faster, because the content exists and the work is structural. A move to a new platform is done without losing the pages search engines already know about, by keeping the addresses or redirecting them.

Who owns the site and the domain

You do. The domain goes in your name, the hosting account goes in your name, and the code and the content we produce for your site are yours once the work is paid for. We keep our own pre-existing tools and templates. It is written into the agreement before the build starts.

Do you write the copy

We can. If you have copy and photography we build around them. If you do not, we write from the scoping call and the questionnaire, and we tell you what photography the site needs before the build rather than at launch.

What does a site cost and how long does it take

Both depend on scope. A brochure site and a site with accounts, booking and payments are different jobs. We scope it on the call and send a written quote with a schedule. No figure before we know what we are building.

Meta ads

Do you run the ads or only make the creative

Either. Bring your media buyer and we are the consulting and creative side. Hand us the account and we run it. The creative does the heavy lifting in both cases, so that is where most of the work goes.

Do you make the creative or do I supply it

We make it, and you can supply your own too. Concepts, hooks, scripts, and finished static and video assets, built as variations meant to be tested against each other rather than as a single hero ad.

How do you track conversions

The Meta Pixel is installed and fires named events for what you care about: a lead, a booking, a purchase. Where the browser cannot be trusted, server side events go through the Conversions API and are deduplicated against the Pixel.

Who owns the ad account and the Pixel

You do. The business portfolio is created under your business, and the ad account, the Pixel, the Page and the catalog live inside it. We are added as a partner, which means we can be removed and nothing leaves with us.

What is the learning phase

The period after a change while the platform is still working out who to show an ad to. Results move around during it. We let a campaign finish it before reading the numbers, and we avoid changing a campaign in the middle of it.

What is a good cost per lead for my business

It comes from your account and your margins, not from a chart. A number that is good in one category is bad in another. We look at what you have spent and what a customer is worth, then set the target on the call.

Is what I pay you separate from what I pay Meta

Yes. Ad spend is paid to Meta from your own ad account. What you pay us is separate from that and is confirmed in writing before work starts.

Can you run ads if I do not have a website

You need somewhere for the click to land, and that is often the real blocker. We can build it as part of the same engagement. That is the full system: the site and the ads scoped and run together.

Working with us

Where are you based, and do you work remotely

We work with clients across the United States, and we work remotely. We operate from Canada, and our legal pages say so. Being in the same city has not been a requirement for any part of what we do.

Do you work in French

Yes. We work with clients in English and French, and when a business operates in both languages we build in both. This site is currently in English.

What happens on the scoping call

Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. We look at your site and your ad account and tell you what we would do, whether you hire us or not. You leave with a plan even if the plan is that you do not need us.

How do I start

Fill in the project questionnaire, which takes a couple of minutes, and you go straight to the booking page to pick a time. Or book the call first and send the detail afterwards.

Do you have a minimum project size

We do not publish one. What we do have is a short conversation about whether the work is a fit, and we would rather have it on the first call than after a quote.

Can I see examples of your work

This site is one, and you can read how it was built into every page you are looking at. We do not publish client results we cannot show you the working for, so ask on the call and we will talk you through how we would approach yours.

What if I only need one of the two services

Buy one. The two are sold separately on purpose, and we will say on the call when half of this is the honest answer rather than quoting you for both by default. Both are described on the services page.
