Echo Social Strategies, Canada
Who we are
Echo Social Strategies was founded by Robin Abboud and Younos Yesilkaya. We operate from Canada and work in French and English. You can reach us at hello@echosocialstrat.com, and this policy covers echosocialstrat.com.
What we collect
Exactly what you type into the scoping-call form: your name, email, business name (optional), the service you pick, what you need, and budget (optional), plus your confirmation that you agree to this policy. Our forms provider also records the IP address and browser user agent attached to each submission, our hosting provider keeps standard access logs, and anything you write to us by email sits in our inbox.
Analytics
With your consent, we use analytics tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it. Nothing loads until you accept them on the banner, and you can withdraw at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you view, how you reached the site, and your interactions with it. The tools we use, the providers behind them (including Google, based in the United States), and links to their policies are listed in our cookie policy. Data these providers collect is governed by their own privacy policies.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Your browser may send a Do Not Track signal. There is no agreed standard for what a website must do when it receives one, so we do not respond to Do Not Track signals.
We do respond to Global Privacy Control. If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request not to load analytics. The consent banner is not shown, no analytics tool is loaded, and no analytics cookie is set. You do not need to do anything else.
Why we collect it
To reply to your inquiry, scope the work, and deliver the services if you decide to engage us. The IP address, user agent and access logs exist to filter spam and keep the site secure and available.
Legal basis for visitors in the European Economic Area
We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the box and sending the form, and on our legitimate interest in answering business inquiries and protecting the site. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.
Who processes your information
Our hosting and forms provider, Netlify, hosts this site and stores the form submissions, and is based in the United States. Calendly hosts the booking page you land on after the form and handles that booking under its own privacy policy, available at calendly.com. We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
Where your information is stored
We operate from Canada, and the providers that handle your information are based in the United States. Netlify hosts this site and stores form submissions, Calendly handles the booking page, and Google Analytics runs only if you accept it. These providers run global infrastructure, so your information may be stored and processed in the United States, or in another country where they operate, and it may be accessible to authorities there under local law. We remain accountable for it when these providers handle it on our behalf.
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it to handle your inquiry or run the engagement it turns into. Ask us to delete your form submission and we will, unless we need to keep a record for a live engagement or a legal obligation. Hosting access logs are retained and rotated by our hosting provider on its own schedule.
Your rights and choices
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent, by emailing hello@echosocialstrat.com. We may need to confirm who you are before we act.
US state privacy laws
US state privacy laws differ in who they cover, and some of them turn on tests that have nothing to do with size. Whether a particular one reaches a business operated from Canada is not something we are going to settle for you on this page. So instead of telling you which law does or does not apply to us, we tell you what we actually do.
We offer the choices described above to everyone as a matter of policy, whether or not a law requires it of us. Email hello@echosocialstrat.com to ask for a copy of what we hold, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw your consent.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. We do not use it for targeted advertising, and our analytics are configured to tell Google that what it collects here may not be used for advertising or advertising personalization.
How we protect it
We keep the collected set as small as the job allows. Access is limited to the people who need it to answer you.
Children
This site is aimed at businesses, is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we update this page. The effective date at the top always shows the current version.
How to reach us, and how to complain
Email us first at hello@echosocialstrat.com. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and visitors in the European Economic Area can contact their local supervisory authority.
